Night Supervision Services

Night Supervision is a non-preventative service consisting of overnight assistance and monitoring provided by a staff in the client’s home when the client has an assessed need in one of the following covered service areas:

  • Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Assistance with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
  • Implementation of positive support programming and transition plans
  • Reinforcement of skill development supports

NIGHT SUPERVISION FAQ

1) Does a Night Supervision Staff have to be awake if the client is sleeping?

Night Supervision staff do not need to be awake if the client is sleeping. However, caregivers who live in the same home as the client may not be paid for any time the client is asleep.

2) How much does a Night Supervision Staff make?

Night Supervision starting wages vary between $18.75 – $19.75 depending on which region of Minnesota the client lives. The Night Supervision starting wage in the metro region is $19.75.

Individual Community Living Supports (ICLS)

Individual Community Living Supports (ICLS) offers assistance and support for old adults who need reminders, cues, intermittent/moderate supervision, or physical assistance to help them remain in their own homes. Individual Community Living Supports covers assistance and support for eligible people 65 years and older in the following service categories:

  • Active cognitive support
  • Adaptive support service
  • Activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Household management
  • Health, safety and wellness
  • Community engagement

INDIVIDUAL COMMUNITY LIVING SUPPORTS (ICLS) FAQ

1) Who determines which of the six ICLS Service Categories the individual qualifies for assistance in?

Your county case manager will supply WECARE4U with a State of Minnesota Individual Community Living Support (ICLS) Planning Form. The planning form indicates which ICLS Service Categories the individual requires assistance in. WECARE4U uses this planning form to develop, with the individual, their Coordinated Services and Support Plan (CSSP) Addendum.

2) Who can provide Individual Community Living Support (ICLS) services?

Relatives and non-professional legal guardians/conservators are allowed to provide ICLS services. However, the ICLS Direct Support Staff may not be the person’s spouse, professional legal guardian/conservator, landlord, or have any financial interest in the person’s housing.

3) Are Right At Home Service ICLS Direct Support Staff able to perform all the supports listed in the six ICLS Service Categories?

WECARE4U ICLS Direct Support Staff are able to perform all supports listed in the six ICLS Service Categories, with the exception of medication set-up and administration. WECARE4U ICLS Direct Support Staff are trained in medication assistance.
